FINAL PROTOTYPE

PLANNING & MANUFACTURING YOUR FINAL PROTOTYPE(S)

This section is where you present a plan to manufacture, and then make one or multiple prototypes to demonstrate and prove your final idea solution.

​

You will need to ensure:

​

  • You have shown how you will convert your 'commercial' idea into a (or multiple) viable workshop prototype(s) that proves your commercial concept

  • A detailed plan for making your prototype(s)

  • A completed and high quality prototype(s) of your final design solution with photo / video evidence of this process.

  • Photos and a 360 degree video of your final prototype(s)

Checklist & Markscheme
 
  • Prototype / Workshop manufacture plan for your final idea: workshop manufacturing processes and materials have been established. This is comprehensive, logical and relevant.

​

  • You have a ‘manufacturing diary’ that includes photos of you carrying out the main  processes (this should highight tools,  materials and quality (control and checks)

​

  • The prototype(s) are of a high standard.

 

  • The final prototype(s) are a good representation of the final design and show off the features of the design solution and clearly communicate the final design to stakeholders

​

  • You have a 360 degree video of your final prototype (s) (if you have any electronics / app design etc please video this working)

​​

  • Have you included multiple photos of your final prototype

​

  • Have you got a video (s)  to show off its main features to show functionality?
