INITIAL IDEAS REVIEW
You now have a range of ideas that you need to filter down. How do you decide which ideas to move forward with? Do you just pick the ones that you like? or will you be more objective?

There are 2 techniques that you can use to allow you to objectively select ideas to take further through the design process:

1
REVIEW AGAINST YOUR DESIGN CRITERIA
2
GET THE THOUGHTS OF YOUR PRIMARY USER
3
CLARIFY 3/4 IDEAS TO TAKE FORWARD
Review against the Design Criteria
Design criteria
10 different ideas....
You should create your own way of reviewing them, whether it is a scoring system or colour coding you need a way to objectively review your ideas and conclude which ideas meet your requirements the best. See a couple of the examples below.
Getting the thoughts of your primary user
The other essential step is to get some detailed and thorough feedback about all your ideas from your primary user. This MUST be evidenced with either:

VIDEO or IMAGES with A VOICE RECORDING

You then need to pull out the key findings and thoughts from this review. Below are some examples of how other students have approached documenting this process.
Clarify 3/4 ideas to take forward
Now you have reviewed your ideas objectively using two different techniques you need to review all of this information to select 3/4 ideas to move forward to your initial development section. You should communicate this decision and add it to the end of your initial ideas section.
